Body Positivity: The Revolution

Body Positivity : The Revolution

Ever found yourself scrolling through Instagram accounts of celebs with the perfect bodies ?

Ever think, "wow I wish I could look like that!"

Body image issues are inculcated in our society since a very long time whether it's being too skinny or being overweight, we get criticized nonetheless. It's high time we smash the notion of what other's think about us.

What is Body- Positive Revolution ?

The Body-Positive Revolution began in 2012 initially focusing on challenging unrealistic feminine beauty standards, as the movement became popular the original focus on acceptance began to shift towards a louder message " All Bodies are Beautiful"
The sole purpose of this movement is to appreciate our body in spite of flaws, feeling confident in our own skin and loving ourselves, instead of beating ourselves up over changes that can happen due to lifestyle choices, pregnancy or other conditions.
In recent times social media had a pivotal role in raising awareness and a lot of celebrities, brands and companies have incorporated efforts to be more diverse with their actions on social media.
