6 Ways To Find Your Style Aesthetic

6 Ways To Find Your Style Aesthetic

Time and again we find ourselves standing in front of our wardrobe creating scenarios of how would we look in a certain attire that doesn't make us look like an alien to the crowd who are so obsessed with following the latest trends!

We live in a rapidly convincing world to buy more, and with this invasion of trends on Instagram and Pinterest, it's often tricky to figure out what we actually like and don't.

The point is to look great in your own skin.
Experiment with fashion, seek inspiration around you, and stay true to your personal style always!

So, I am here to spill the beans on how to do it effortlessly!

What is Personal Style Aesthetic?

To put it simply personal style says a lot about "YOU"

For me, personal style is about being creative with what you have. When I put a piece together I make sure I feel confident, happy, and comfortable, inspiring a room full of people.

It reflects what you stand for, your ethics, and the way you express yourself through clothes, which is going to help you stand out, and boost your self-esteem in all possible ways essential in building your personality and as an individual.

Like they say " You Are What You Wear"

Fathom Yourself

If you decide to be true to your personal choices you need to be aware of what are the things that make you happy like the colors, patterns, textures, and silhouettes.

It's no rocket science!

Once you are able to do that, you're halfway there to find the perfect aesthetic for you!

Seek Inspiration

There are tons of ideas and inspirations around you that catch your eye on social media or in real life and that can definitely say a lot about your preferences.

Get inspired by your friends or family whose style you admire, not just the way they articulate themselves but the way they carry every outfit with utmost ease.

Influencers, stylists, and fashion magazines are great sources of inspiration.

Unleash that fashion gangster in you and get your creative self out of the closet!

Fashion Wishlist

Create a wishlist of pieces that you wanna covet, this will help you make better choices and consider investing in sustainable clothes, instead of impulsive purchases.

It is a way to reflect on your wishlist items and by the time you buy them, you have been already looking forward to styling them in multiple ways.

This is a great way to use when thrifting or when investing in new items!

Sustainable Staples

As fast fashion is a threat to the world, it is encouraging to know that there are brands and people who are fighting for the safety of the planet and garment workers.

Slow fashion offers an alternative that is sustainable, and mindful, it is the way you relate to your clothes likely with a scarcity mindset or as a possibility of immense creativity.

Always remember less is more!

Thrift Thrift Thrift...

Thrift stores are treasure troves, you never know what you may come across!

Unlike big stores with posters, and mannequins showing you how to style a certain cloth, thrift store allows you to observe the kind of clothes and style you are attracted towards.

The items that you are drawn toward are more likely to reflect your personal style and also you might end up finding your aesthetic!

Identify your style in 3 words

The most crucial part is asking yourself questions.

How would you want others to describe your style? How do you want your style to make you feel?

The 3 keywords for me are classy, comfortable, and elegant.

Answering these helps you better understand what exactly you want to represent, your intentions when you look at a new item, and assess whether this would be a great fit for you or the framework that you created for yourself.
