We have been through such hard times that we hardly paid attention to our mental health. It's time that we look at the bigger picture to be at a better place.

Stress refers to our body's reaction to challenges and demands of everyday life. It can be positive and negative and there are a lot of healthy ways to deal with it.
Especially in these times where we are WFH , it becomes really important to take some time out to de-stress ourselves.

1. Cut down people who stress you out
No matter what it takes, you're not supposed to keep toxic people in your life who constantly belittle you and control you, which eventually leads to, you questioning yourself. Aah! throw 'em out!
2. Avoid Procrastination
Let's not leave it for the next day. Set limited goals that fits you and be focused. Tell yourself you can be lazy but not today! Be in the present.
We all love to do things that we just call ours don't we ?
It can be anything painting, writing, listening to music, spending time with your loved ones or just staying alone in a room with a book and a scented candle or sleeping or doing nothing at all. Do the things that makes your heart happy!
Who doesn't like shaking off to some music to let go of your thoughts and vibe? I do!
Play a good upbeat song and just shake that stress off, you're too good to be worrying about every petty thing. It helps in reducing stress and uplifts your mood.
5. Talk to yourself
I know that sounds crazy, but let's be real.
You are your own bestfriend your only love is you and there's nothing wrong in talking to yourself.
We do talk to ourselves sometimes, while looking at the mirror in our bathroom or just to a chair in our room. It actually helps and you understand your thoughts in a better way.
6. Practice mindfulness
Like everyone, I'm not here to advocate on exercising or doing yoga, I mean you should, but staying consistent is a bit tough isn't it ? and hey that's okay.
Don't be so hard on yourself, just take out 10 min a day to meditate and stretch out a bit or go for a walk and voila that works wonders.
7. Learn to say no
How many times have you said yes to a plan or work that you didn't want to do but you forced yourself on it, which affected you emotionally?
A lot of times. Do not do that!
Avoid doing things that do not benefit emotionally or affects your health.
8. Chew gum
It sounds gross but hear me out.
It's better to chew on a gum instead than biting your nails off when you're anxious, isn't it ?
It helps reduce anxiety and nervous breakdown in a better way.
9. Acceptance
Do not try to change things that's not in your hands, you are doing the best you can. Let it flow.
Once you start accepting the things you cannot change, it becomes a healthy habit in your life to accept the things that are in your control and negativity stays miles away from you.
10. You are in control of your thoughts and actions
Last but not the least.
Your actions and your thoughts define you but not your mind.
Do not let your mind control you.
Manifest the positive things that you want to do and become as a human, personally and professionally.
Take it slow and have faith.
